Mercado de Verano 2014

Post by Jaime on Tue Apr 08, 2014 3:00 pm

Well Ter Stegen and Halilovic were the first two official signings but it sounds like they are being canceled. So I think that makes Sevilla signing Nico Pareja on a permanent deal the first signing of the summer. He had a 2,5m clause in his loan contract and Sevilla have paid it to Spartak Moscow.

So it begins......

 lol!

Also on more serious note - after injury (and ban) it's not so certain anymore that Valdes will leave.

Everything I have read is that he is leaving one way or another, particularly after the Barcelona media crucified him after the announcement (you don't leave Farsa, you retire in Farsa, etc etc). The latest rumour is that Zubi is gonna have to come out of retirement. Laughing

Halilovic's agent is one of the guys that was apart of the team that broke the bosmon deal, and he sounds pissed.

he's like their is no way fifa can stop the free movement of European labor and stop them from doing their job, no court in Europe will allow this.

so this guy seems to know his stuff.

It's not like you buy a player one day and he can play for you the next day. There is a registration process where the governing bodies (RFEF, UEFA etc) need to give some kind of official approval. So potentially you could argue that and buy a player, however uefa could reject the registration and the player is then ineligible. You play him you lose the game, you get a fine, you potentially get docked points.

I highly recommend you do it, we could see barcelona relegated  cheers

yeah i am aware of that, but uefa/fifa cant stop us from signing the player to a contract.
the registration bit the lawyers will have to work out, but what he was saying, is that football is his job, so by eufa/fifa stoppping from playing they are violating his right as a european citizen.

who knows, whatever the case, i think we will sign players in the summer and the band gets pushed back

At the end of the day, Halilovic makes almost zero difference as he was only going to Barcelona Atletic next year and then probably on to Ajax anyhow.

La Masia. Ale

FIFA routinely stops the free movement of labour. That's what the transfer window is - it's stopping someone from leaving their job except under controlled circumstances. It's completely legal because what's happening isn't a prohibition on Barca employing the individual, but that player/club then being ineligible for a particular competition run by a separate body.

Whether or not Barca find a way around this problem is nothing to do with whatever hot air some agent is puffing.

yeah makes sense, we will see, he is a lawyer after all.

but the important bit of what he is saying stands, uefa cant stop anyone from joining us, we can sign them and play them in friendlies until the band is lifted.

Latest rumours:

*Juventus want Alexis Sanchez. Alexis (similar to Pedro) knows that as long as Cesc and Neymar are around he will always be on the bench and wants to move. Atletico are also interested in the Chilean.

*Speaking of Pedro, Pep really wants him for Bayern. Man United and Man City also really interested. He will most likely leave in the summer. la masia! Ale

*Now that Barcelona's transfer ban has been postponed (NOT lifted...) they have taken advantage of the window to sign another baby, this time a hungarian instead of a korean, Matyas Tajti. A shame la masia can't produce decent players any more. Ale

*Florentino's dream for this summer is Sergio Aguero. Nothing new there...

*Athletic are close to confirming the signing of Borja Viguera. The 27 year old is currently playing for Alaves and his top scorer in Segunda. Sounds like the deal will cost €1m.

*AC Milan want to sign Cristian Tello? Doh

Madrid is pissed because they supposedly really ranted this Tajti kid.

Pedro is staying, alexis looks likely to move, i think its for the best. I said a few years back he was one of the most talented young players in europe and is still believe that, but he needs to play down to middle to fulfill his potential an that will never happen at barca. even if he has looked like a star whenever player there

What a bunch of dicks. Arsenal have activated Vela's 4m euro buyback clause. They have no intention of keeping him but because of his good season they just want to make a quick profit by reselling him. Apparently they are offering him to la Real for 12m but are looking for 15-20m from anyone else.

RUMOURS!!!!!!!!!!

*Valencia trying to rebuild their team. Finally! Currently it is full of shit minus Bernat. They want to bring back David Villa and Raul Albiol. Villa has obviously had an up and down season with Atleti, lots of injuries and not really first choice. Albiol I think has had a good season under Benitez so I don't know what the likelihood of him actually leaving is. Then, get this, Super Deporte is reporting that one defender Valencia are really interested in is...wait for it.....wait for it. Steven fucking Taylor from Newcastle. Shocked Laughing The other name is Rafinha and of course who knows what will happen with him. Luis Enrique wants him in Barcelona but of course he will be playing behind Xavi, Iniesta, Cesc, Song, and whoever else they sign this summer (unless the ban is reinstated!!!!!!) so the rumour is that he is having doubts about returning because he wants to play.

*Apparently Luis Enrique realises that la Masia is currently full of shit and wants to steal a bunch of the Celta canteranos including Ruben Blanco (goalkeeper), Santi Mina (striker), David Costas (centre back), Borja Fernandez (centre midfield), and Borja Iglesias (striker). Ruben Blanco is supposed to be pretty good, he was being linked with RM a couple years back when he was just 15. Santi Mina has already been playing with the first team this year and done pretty well. The rest probably aren't any good but still better than the koreans.

*Another one that Luis Enrique wants to take back to FCB is Fontas. He's actually had an ok season in Celta. I don't think he is that good but it looks like Zubi is spending all of his money on David Luiz and they really do need to centre backs so I think he is forced to do some bargain shopping. Pique, David Luiz, Bartra, Fontas. Ale

*Looks Atleti are serious about trying to sign Ciro Immobile since Diego Costa is all but gone. The new Christian Vieri! Biggrin Thought Borussia Dortmund were in the pole position to sign Immobile but I guess we'll see.

*Another name being linked with Atleti to replace Costa is Fernando Llorente. I would be surprised if he returned to Spain so quickly and especially for a team that isn't Athletic but who knows. Seemed like at the beginning of the year he wasn't really getting many chances at Juve but then he seemed to play quite a lot. So I don't really know what his situation is.

*Real Madrid are thinking about Ricardo Rodriguez from Wolfsburg as a possibility at left back. Everyone is thinking that Coentrao's departure is a foregone conclusion but I'm hoping that might actually change. Rodriguez and Alberto Moreno from Sevilla are the two possibilities.

*RM could be in the market for a right back as well. With Dani Carvajal's explosion, Alvaro Arbeloa is rumoured to be considering a move. Rafa wants him for Napoli and I think Jose would take him at Chelsea as well. I think he can still be useful in certain situations and he has a lot of experience but I guess we'll see what happens in the summer.

*Bernardo Schuster is leaving Malaga. Apparently going back to Germany to manage Frankfurt. Paco Jemez and Tata Martino Laughing are the two names being linked with the job.

*Farsa have, surprise surprise, renewed Pinto's contract!!!!! But....not to be the goalkeeper, rather to be the goalkeeper coach! lol! Can you imagine this guy teaching others how to play goalkeeper???? lol! lol! lol!

The big question is which big club will try to sign Rakitic.

I've only seen him play in the Europa league and he has been brilliant to watch. Great passing ability, speed and good at set pieces.

Supposedly, Bayern want to get David Luiz in a swap with Mandzukic. Pep left him out of the squad for the cup final tomorrow. Pretty telling.

RUMOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Barcelona trying desperately to sell Cesc to whoever will take him but instead of replacing him with la Masia boy Rafinha they want to spend 50m euro on Pogba!

*Looks like if Bayern end up with David Luiz the next alternative for Barcelona is Jeremy Mathieu. Jeremy. Mathieu. Laughing

*Juventus in for Alexis Sanchez and Barcelona will sell him for around 25m.

*Diego will be out of contract in the summer and although it seems there is interest from Atletico in signing him on a longer deal it sounds like Fenerbahce are going to throw bags of money at Diego so he may well be off.

*Thibault Courtois has always expressed his desire to stay in Atletico but now he is saying that he "doesn't know what will happen next year". I would be surprised if Jose takes him back after Courtois agreed to play against Chelsea in the CL this season but Jose might be that desperate.

*PSG want to sign Pedro. It's pretty clear he is unhappy with his situation since the arrival of Neymar. I thought Pedrito would do really well in England but maybe he will end up in France.

*Fiorentina wanting to buy Villarreal right back Mario. Would be a shame for Villarreal because he's a good player. Not sure what his buyout clause is but probably not too high.

*More rumours for Valencia since the takeover by Peter Lim: Rodrigo, Andre Gomes, and Ezequiel Garay. A group fronted by Peter Lim already owns the rights to Gomes and Rodrigo so they would go directly to Valencia, supposedly. Garay would cost about 15m according to the rumour.

*Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Everton all trying to buy Saúl who has had an outstanding season on loan at Rayo. I have to look up his buyout but this kid is the future of Atletico so I don't think they will let him go very easily.

*Parejo is drawing interest from Atletico Madrid and Liverpool. Not sure how he would fair in England to be honest. Would be a great signing for Atletico especially if they cannot end up keeping Diego.

*Marquinhos being linked with Real Madrid. Jose really wants to take Varane to Chelsea and there are some quiet concerns about Varane's knee so if a big offer came they could sell the young french defender and Marquinhos could be the replacement.

*Rakitic being linked with City and Real Madrid. Again, would be a shame for Sevilla who are finally starting to rebuild their team.

garay would cost more than 15m, rodrigo and gomes is a done deal.

seems valencia will have 45-60m to spend, with the right coach and if they spend it wisely, they should be pushing the top 3

benatia seems to be the guy luis wants to add to the defense

Latest rumours!

*Barcelona are still looking for a #2 goalkeeper. SPORT and MD have both been saying that Zubi wants Claudio Bravo from la Real. I don't know that he would come just to be the backup because he has been playing at a very high level the last two years. But they've already spent a lot of money on Ter Stegen. Bravo's buyout is 25m. Zubi wants to try and negotiate and is hoping to include Tello in the deal.

*More players NOT from la masia being linked with Barcelona. Firmino who I guess has had a big year in Germany. Never seen the guy play but apparently Luis Enrique wants him to replace Cesc. The other name is Marcos Rojo who is one of Messi's buddies. He is currently in Sporting CP. He can play as centre back or left back. Would probably be a decent buy for Barcelona, I don't think he'd be too expensive either.

*Napoli want Mascherano. Apparently De Laurentiis is convinced he can make a deal. Benitez will offer him the chance to go back to playing in midfield instead of being a makeshift centre back. Not sure about his wages but I think he is one of the lesser paid players in FCB.

*Juve really want Alexis but they are not going to offer more than 15m and Barcelona are looking for around 25m.

*Inter and Arsenal want Koke. lol!

*Barcelona are going to go for Ander Herrera if they can manage to sell Cesc.

*Granada have apparently executed the option to buy clause on french right back Dimitri Foulquier paying Rennes 2m euro

*Benitez also wants to take Mateo Musacchio to Napoli. He's got a buyout clause of 50m but MD seem to think that Villarreal would sell him for 15m.

*Athletic are close to sealing new contracts for both Mikel San Jose and Iker Muniain. Would be a huge deal if they can get those worked out. Especially for Muniain.

*So I thought that Valencia being bought up by Peter Lim was a done deal but now there is some Russian called Zolotaya claiming he has doubled Lim's offer. In any case, Valencia have bought Rodrigo De Paul from Racing in Argentina for 5m and it sounds like Rodrigo is almost a done deal as well (if Lim finalises his purchase of the club).

I think his contract actually is done in June and he wasn't re-signed,
