Hmmm..not sure if 1-0 is going to be enough..

Still both Madrids are still on their way to get their decima!

Can't believe we kept a clean sheet against them, they are too predictable.

ok with his obsession with structured passing he's removed a lot of the natural flair from the team. At Barca he at least had the amazing skill of Iniesta and uniquely brilliant Messi to make it work. But there's no cutting edge here. Even Arsenal looked good against this lot.

Only good thing about it is not conceding an away goal, and perhaps judging by that pathetic showing at Dortmund too big an advantage would not work in our favour( but that's obviously clutching at straws from me  Laughing  )

Pep is ruining Bayern with his obsession for midget-suited tactics. Might have suited a Barca team who consisted of Sergio White & the 10 dwarfs, but this Bayern team humiliated some of Europe's best clubs with their pace and flair only last season. Hard to see Real not scoring in Munich, so definitely advantage Madrid.

Madrid vs Chelsea final is nailed on for me now.

Madrid should win that easily but finals do strange things to players - Liverpool, United and Chelsea were all unlikely winners in the last ten years so Chelsea have a good chance this season.

Never missed last year's style more than today. That was a sad showing. Judging from both of these first legs, no team deserves the CL this year. Very unimpressive.

Against Dortmund in the league recently and against City in their last group match. Of course, both of those games weren't exactly important at the time.

PROGRESS LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER!!! Bubbly

What great defensive performance from the team. Really proud to finally a Real Madrid play this concentrated for 90 mins. Mourinho got us close to something like this albeit he was generally forced to play two lazy players in Ronaldo and Ozil while Ancelotti benefitted from having room only for one star player. Wished Bale had been ready and would prefer him for the next game as well but now that Ronaldo is getting back to form I can't see it happen. I hope he doesn't attempt to play both but I can't anything else happening since they will both recover by next week. And Guardiola will probably play Lahm at rightback so I don't think we can afford Ronaldo on the left against him with Isco to do the work.

congrats to madrid, i think they will make the final

AND

omg we are back in vangaal mode

btw i was not really surprised how yesterdays game went

i expect the same game in munich, we lack seriously  creativity through the middle, all we do is pass the ball to rib and rob and then cross

i don`t know what happened to the team, earlier in the season we looked much more livelier in the final third, more movement, more surprise elements

peps possession game has been found out, especially at the highest level, possession is good to win a league, because the medicore teams can`t handle it

but every decent counter side with quality will find ways to score

 ok

Reminded me a bit of the 2010 final against Inter.

On the other hand I don't expect us to keep Bayern from scoring away so we will need to score and probably open up a bit at some point.

Why is Pep so fucking stubborn? Surely, he could have for once played a more typical Heynckes formation. Schweinsteiger/Martinez in midfield, Lahm as RB instead of our weak link Rafinha. Having Lahm there would have helped offense and defense, plus Martinez could have done what he does best: stop counter-attacks.

So frustrating. It feels like he's throwing away history.

Guardiola likes Lahm for the same reason he liked Busquets instead of Yaya Toure. For his style Guardiola is right but he should simply be less rigid. It is a wonder why he can never be a little flexible. I wouldn't be surprised if he maintains the same line up.

What are the rules with regards to suspensions? I always thought it was 2 yellows but somebody told me it is 3 yellows.

I think it's 3rd, 5th, 7th, etc. Unfortunately, they still don't erase cards after the quarters or semis. Nobody knows why.

Previous results of Bayer-Real Madrid in Champions League competition:

2011-12 Bayern 2-1 Real Madrid (semifinals)
2006-07 Bayern 2-1 Real Madrid (1/8 finals)
2003-04 Bayern 1-1 Real Madrid (1/8 finals)
2001-02 Bayern 2-1 Real Madrid (quarterfinals)
2000-01 Bayern 2-1 Real Madrid (semifinals)
1999-00 Bayern 2-1 Real Madrid (semifinals)
1990-00 Bayern 4-1 Real Madrid (second group stage)
1987-88 Bayern 3-2 Real Madrid (quarterfinals)
1986-87 Bayern 4-1 Real Madrid (semifinals)
1975-76 Bayern 2-0 Real Madrid (semifinals)

Never won in Germany. Luckily we almost always score. And the 2-1 that will qualify us for the final is a pretty common result.
