BAYERN 2014/15

Post by Kroos on Sat Jul 05, 2014 9:11 am

i really think the KROOS deal is done, it will be announced after the WC

well i will surely miss him, but i will also enjoy seeing him playing the clasicos

this could be the chance for Götze to finally deliver in his prefered position

this would be a formation and line up where i see us stronger than in 2013, only PEPS gameplan has to be fixed, away from the extreme ball possesion

----------------neuer

lahm--boa----badstuber/dante--alaba

-----martinez(rode, hojberg)---schweinsteiger(thiago)

robben(müller)----götze(müller)-----ribery

------------lewandowski

well he learned that tiki taka is dead

the DFB cup that we won was with jupp style

i wish he would have done the same against MADRID

against the 2 best counter teams in the world (dortmund, madrid) to play high line, tiki taka is simply no good idea

You're delusional if you think he will abandon anything.

Just get used to being the new most boring team in the world  Biggrin

 ok

Funny thing about lewandowski is that unless he turns you to be a good passer he won't play. I also think the next phase of pep's plan will be introduced next season, a midfielder in the centre of defence. The more midfielders you have the greater the possession stats.

Midfielder in defence being new?

He did that at Barcelona and has already done this at Bayern with Javi Martinez. Although I suppose he is crazy enough to try 2 midfielders in defence.

Not saying it's new, but I have the feeling he didn't do it out of desperation at barca but that he really feels it is the "right way" to get even more possession. Mascherano of course is an awful central defender, and I was sure he'd go with martinez full time there, but he only tried a few games I think, but I don't follow bayern that closely.

I am actually thinking sweinstegier and martinez in the centre of defence, with kroos and thiago in front of them in midfield Wink. If we can call lahm a midfielderer, then that only leaves nueuer, alaba and lewandowski who are not midfielders  cheers

Bayern have signed Juan Bernat from Valenica for 10m Euros. Contract until 2018. Excellent signing it would seem.

F*cking hell really? Bernat is really promising. But kind of a waste, he's not better than Alaba.

Well, we play about 50-60 games in a season, so we need a backup. Plus he can play left midfield as well. Ribery has missed quite a few games recently.

Looks like the Kroos deal isn't finished yet. Kroos and his agent have made a deal with Real Madrid, but not signed anything yet. Apparently, Pep actually likes him and would like to keep him, but many in the Bayern board (and fanbase btw.) are rather critical of Toni Kroos.

After that MOTM performance against Brazil yesterday, Bayern may reconsider, though. Apparently, they know that they will look like fools and expect a lot of bad press at the least. They may be willing to meet his wage demands now (Kroos currently earns half of what Götze does, for example).

Was reading some of Sammer's comments and (assuming the translation to Spanish was not bad) he was alluding to the fact that Alaba could move to midfield with Bernat then playing left back. Not sure how much there is to that. But anyway....

Could be true, because Alaba is a midfielder for his country and played there in the Bayern youth teams. But he has become a world class LB and I don't think that Bayern will not make use of that.

Bernat will get more than enough playing time anyway, as Bayern have a ton of matches to play every season, and because he is a Pep signing, hence preferential treatment to be expected.

Rummenigge confirmed that Kroos is going to leave Bayern. "We didn't want to lose him on a free next season."

What about meeting his wage demands then? This is a mistake by Bayern, a big one.

I'd prefered Toni to stay in the Bundesliga and continue to play with his Bayern team mates, would have been better for the national team, too. But I can fully understand his decision, so good luck in Madrid Toni.

I dont get why players leave if they are already multi-millionaire. For what, 1-2 million more a year? I would be such a woeful pro..

Beginning of the end for Bayern this, its always such little moves that people will say in a few years from now...it all started when Kroos left..

But Kroos totally has a point - why should a "newbie" like Götze earn twice as much as him, a loyal servant of the club, playing on a high level for years?

He simply didn't feel appreciated, for reasons explained earlier. Can fully understand why he is leaving.

Holger Badstuber coming back from a career threatening injury after 19 months. Ale

Will be interesting to see if he can regain that form (he was class) and how Pep will use him. Not that many left footed class defenders in Germany.

Maybe Löw will copy Pep once again. Would make an awful lot of sense considering Lahm's retirement from the national team.

But 3-5-2 has its weaknesses.

Looks like Pep has been asking for Bayern to sign Reus, but the Bayern board vetoed it, as they don't want to the public to get the impression that they want to weaken Dortmund on purpose (of course they do, but the outcry the Lewandowski and Götze transfers caused in the media and amongst fans threatened to ruin the club's image for good - not good for business).

Pep on Badstuber (talking to Hermann Gerland):

"Hermann, Hermann. Wir haben zwei überragende Spieler, Innenverteidiger, immer in der Sasion gehabt. Aber Badstuber ist besser. Er ist der beste Spieler, den ich je hatte!"

"Hermann, Hermann, we had two awesome central defenders last season. But Badstuber is better, he is the best player (-> defender) I have ever had!"

http://www.sport1.de/de/fussball/fussball_bundesliga/newspage_925235.html

High praise, but Badstuber really is very talented. One can only hope that he regains his pre-injury form. His qualities are very similar to Hummels, very, very comfortable on the ball and an excellent passer, his initial pass to initiate the buildup is top notch. Very good at reading the game and positioning, too. Plus, he is left-footed, a rarity in Germany these days.

Puyol was a great defender and leader, but to be fair, not exactly the kind of player Pep likes - too limited footballing wise. Pep is a radical.
