Good to have a United fan back on the board. Let's hope for a repeat of the show you put on last year. I'm particularly looking forward to seeing Jones and Smalling in regular action.

Thanks for the welcome. Touch about Smalling and Jones! The senior defenders are gone which does worry me a bit, but I guess we had to say goodbye to them at some stage. We saw in previous years that Smalling and jones can be good, so I hope they find their form again. More worried about getting a top central midfielder in.

- Borini gone for 14m
- Total budget now up to between 80m-100m
- Rodgers says we haven't touched the Suarez funds yet, all current signings were pre plannedassuming Suarez would stay
- Tried to sign Sanchez but now working on other big name signings

That is our best outgoing transfer since West Ham gave us about 20 million for Carroll.

Not the worst player by any means Borini and will be very good for Sunderland but his finishing is pretty poor overall - never a Liverpool player.

For 8 million Remy would be such a steal. Quick, scores goals, can play the Sturridge role. Yes please.

Remy would be a very solid signing - agree with Luis' post above.

Full-backs next please Brendan, and Reus (although the chances of him leaving Dortmund for a comparably unsuccessful team are slim!)

Just hope we don't spunk any money on Lovren...we've got enough decent centre backs. It's our style of play which means we leak goals.

It depends if he plays, I wouldn't be surprised to see Liverpool buy a more fashionable name and for Remy to get the Ba treatment. He's best as a wide forward, which would presumably mean Sturridge through the middle, which I don't particularly like but it's not like premier league defences are any good. I don't think Liverpool will be as free scoring next season no matter what happened this summer, the difference in goals will probably be attributed to Remy not being as good as Suarez. Last season he would have fit in well with Liverpool scoring alot on the counterattack, but I expect alot more bus parking this season.

Sturridge is awesome through the middle. That's where he is best so not sure what you mean by that. I don't think he'll get the Ba treatment for a few reasons

1) Sturridge won't stay fit all season. Suarez's fitness levels were one of his best attributes so covered us for this.
2) He'll be competing with just Sterling and Markovic for the two wide forward positions so has every chance of earning a first team place (although I expect one more big name signing here).
3) We will have shitloads of games

I've heard this theory a lot about teams parking the bus against us next year. It's amazing how common it is among opposition fans. Not only do I think it isn't true (why didn't they just do it last season ?) but I also think it plays into our hands. Our attack is our strength so if teams want to give us even more of the ball then that's awesome. Only the billionaire Chelsea oil tanker could actually pull it off last year so hopefully you are right on this.

Personal preference, I prefer a striker that will stay up top, Sturridge doesn't seem to have much positional discipline, I think it will be needed against all the bus parking.

How Liverpool will handle relentless buses we don't know yet, Newcastle in their worst run of form in decades managed pretty well for most of our game. I'm sure Brenton is preparing for it though even if you don't think it is a problem, that's why he signed Lambert IMO.

You seem to think everything will be simple and easy for Liverpool next season, I suppose we'll see.

Lovren to sign in next few days - 16-20 million.

Most exciting signing for me so far - I do love a good centre half.

I'll be a bit livid if we manage to fuck this up. As soon as we got that offer Rodgers should have gone to him and told him he's not in our plans at all. Him staying will accomplish nothing for both him and us - he has no future at this club. Much better off at Sunderland.

If we're honest, We all dream of a team of Carraghers.

But at this rate, we will be able to field a team of centre backs.

I don't know that the personell we have at the back is any worse than that under Dalglish when we had the meanest defense in the league.

Origi and Lovren have agreed terms and will join us in the next few days.

Origi makes no sense to me personally other than 'one for the future'.

Looks like Borini is definitely staying. Sunderland have a weird way of doing business, I thought clubs usually only put in big bids for players they know want to move to them. They've embarrassed themselves and should be ashamed.
