I think Pierre only rates Welbeck because he is used to watch shite in the Championship. I on the other hand watch us (Barcelona), therefore I think Welbeck is camel turd. It's all relative.

Very much so.

Club career very disappointing to date but our best performer in these qualifiers and prob best player in the Hodgson era.

Scored twice as many goals from open play as the pikey in these qualifiers and same number as Bale.

To be fair though, Rooney is crap now and so is the opposition. Welbeck is a distinctly average player. The best he can hope for in his career is to be as good as Darius Vassell
lol!
I still have hopes for Welbeck but he obviously has to prove himself for his club.

No one is ever going to give Welbeck this reception.

Vassel = 6 in 22 for England.

Welbeck = has 14 in 33.

I think we are going to lose to Poland, but if we don't, we really need Germany to beat Ireland.

Does it matter? The only think that makes Jocks happy is seeing England lose, and shortbread.

Classic Scotland to bring out the heroics after pissing away their chances of qualifying in Georgia. Well, they could still sneak 3rd I suppose.

In other news, if Denmark don't win at Portugal (currently losing 1-0), Albania just need to beat Armenia in their final match to qualify. Or they could do it tonight if they get a winner against Serbia. Albania!

But to fack it up like that is a new level of stupidity for us.

And nobody expected the Germans to lose to Ireland. That really screwed us.

Bizarrely there's still a scenario where Germany finish 3rd and have to go through a playoff. It does involve them losing at home to Georgia.

As it is, the 100% qualified countries are:

France
England
Czech Republic
Iceland
Austria
Northern Ireland
Portugal
