Not that it's much of interest for this international board, but yesterday I visited the top match of the 2nd Bundesliga between my hometown Karlsruhe and the city where I'm now living in Darmstadt with two friends. Rather good atmosphere 27500 spectators but match was rather dull except for the last 15 minutes.
Darmstadt now close to the first Bundesliga, when they nearly relegated from 3rd to 4th league two years ago and only survived because their big rivals Offenbacher Kickers got bankrupt and relegated instead.

Congrats Darmstadt and lets see if they or Kaiserlsautern get 3rd place and relegation battle for Bundesliga and against which team Question  Wink (Kaiserslautern will slip and Karlsrueh will be third of course hint hint)

Cool story, Antarion. Sounds like good times with your mates. <Ale>

Why did Bale and Pennant chop their ears off? scratch

We know that Fey calls Bale "monkey", but WTF! Bale chopped his ears just for that! scratch

what an amazing relegation battle

unfortunately, HSV

MUST WIN against Schalke

and then pray that the others f**k up

they really fluffed it this time

good interview about some of the HSV problems

http://www.welt.de/sport/fussball/bundesliga/hamburger-sv/article141245587/Scheiss-Stadionuhr-unsaegliche-Seeler-Interviews.html

--------------------

Robben talks of extending his contract Ale

Hummels will stay at Dortmund Ale

unfortunately

Ingolstadt will join the 1.Bundesliga next season Grr

and might be joined by the likes of Darmstadt Grr

antari might celebrate

but the club is so small and the the stadium so tiny ....

this will not make the league better and more interesting

Darmstadt might even get promoted at the expense of Kaiserlautern with their young, talented team , their nutty fans and their fantastic stadium

maybe we really should extend the first league and have 20 teams

Well it seems the small clubs going down make room for small clubs coming in. So its not THAT bad overall for the excitement of the Bundesliga.
I agree with Otto that Kaiserlsautern has among the best atmosphere and stadium and should come back to the Bundesliga.

Even when Stuttgart and Lautern are the most hated clubs for a Karlsruher Wink, I want all of them in the 1st Bundesliga for excitement reasons. And we need opponents not pushovers!

Ingolstadt is the same as Paderborn. Boring trash.

Darmstadt is not very exciting but its a big story if they do it. And I can visit some matches nearby.

Biggest success today: Spielberg, my home village with 2800 inhabitants just got promoted to the 4th division; scoring in 92. min even to win the league! True fighters. Without a big sponsor. Jens Nowotny will be proud Wink Too bad they missed DFB Pokal qualification because they lost the final on wednesday.

KSC is mediocre. not that HSV is good either mind. I really expect HSV to survive.

HSV - KSC 1:0
KSC - HSV 1:1

De Bruyne...what a footballer eh. Totally dicked Dortmund yesterday. Im still not sure if I want HSV down tbh, in a way I'd say yes, cause at least there will be some change. But to get up again...look how long 1860 have been gone.

On the other hand Id say no, too many nouveau riche teams these days in German football.

Very Happy

well. let's just see where we stand

YOU said, " the game is up, HSV are CERTAINLY going down"

I said, HSV will 100% stay up, they are "unabsteigbar"

what happened in the meantime ?

HSV won their last two games

and are now 14th in the league

cheers

admittedly,

they are still bang in the middle of the relegation battle

still

you would be well advised, my good fey

to stop thinking like a typical blut-like "5-vor-12" German

and start copy-pasting blindly what the German oracle has to say

cheers

cheers

how many years have we spent on here together, fey ?

you should know by now

that the German ORACLE

ALWAYS

tells the truth

cheers

simply unbelievable how HSV

ALWAYS

manage to escape "certain" death

until the 88th minute or so

they were basically relegated

Very Happy

---------------------

great to see Wolfsburg win the Cup vs Dortmund

winning silverware breeds winners

and Wolfsburg are slowly getting accostomed  to life at the top

<Ale>

-------------------

Klopp will take a BREAK

no move to Liverpool

which increases the probabilty that he will stay in the Bundesliga cheers

should Pep leave at the end of next season, Klopp could take over

which is annoying

but better than losing Klopp to the EPL Ale

--------------------

tomorrow I will be in the Allianz Arena

cheering on 1860

they are also fighting relegation

from the 2. Bundesliga to the 3.

Grr affraid

unreal

they are fighting against 3rd league Kiel

and between 60-70.000 fans be in the Arena

welcome to German football

Biggrin

THAT could have been HSV's fate in a year or so

Well they still had to play that playoff, now didnt they?

Still

They stayed up. So you were right.

But, something has to change though, cause otherwise its the same again next season. And one of these days it will go wrong.

A radical cleaning is needed, a Hamburg Blitz even.

In the end its good, the Bundesliga needs HSV. And the potential is still there to become a great club.

I did not know 1860 were so much in the shitter, hell, imagine a 80k stadium in the 3rd league. Must be a record.

But for now

cheers

Very Happy

HSV or Hertha

and within 3 to 4 years

they will dominate the league

cheers

Raab is like Beckenbauer

whatever he touches

turns to gold

still

what news

scratch Rolling Eyes Neutral

the guy is not even 50 yet

and already RETIRES

Shocked

he was a million times better than Jeremy Clarkson, Letterman, Jonathan Voss and all those other overpaid " entertainers"

even if he really started to look increasingly jaded

refreshingly UN-PC as well

ridiculing Claudia Roth, the Greens, Lahm , Loew, Merkel, women's football...

which on German TV

NOBODY would EVER do

f**k

this is a real shock

even if I only caught  his stand-up intro on TV Total

online

Neutral

---------------------------

rumour has it

that Magath is in talks with 1860

to become their manager and coach

if WAHR

brilliant news
