Premier League 16th-20th May

Post by Kimbo on Fri May 15, 2015 11:05 pm

I'm doing it this time Lewis.

Saturday 16th May
Southampton V Aston Villa 12:45
Burnley V Stoke 15:00
QPR V Newcastle 15:00
Sunderland V Leicester 15:00
Tottenham V Hull 15:00
West Ham V Everton 15:00
Liverpool V Crystal Palace 17:30

Sunday 17th May
Swansea V Man City 13:30
Man Utd V Arsenal 16:00

Monday 18th May
West Brom V Chelsea 20:00

Wednesday 20th May
Arsenal V Sunderland 19:45

It's Steven Gerrard day, the last time he will be seen at Anfield before his loan move to Chelsea. Other than the crying scousers the only interesting thing is the relegation fight, which club is more embarrassing, Newcastle or QPR? John Carver says he feels like a golfer on the 18th hole going for the championship, I'm not sure he knows what relegation is. Hull are guaranteed a win against a team that always Spurs it up when the attention is on them. I'm hoping to see Nigel Pearson bite someones nose off at the Stadium of Light.

Farewell Steven Gerrard (until Stoke away next week)

Won everything but a title - he cost us it last season but in 09 we wouldn't have been near it without him. He did pretty much win some cups single handedly like the CL, FA cup 06 so can forgive him.

mindbogglingly bad. had about 3 warnings before the first goal and did not remotely heed them. now conceded five goals and still making the exact same mistakes. utterly bereft of anything positive.

Benteke will be at us or Spurs next season - a sure sign of both our Europa League ambitions.

This has become such a myth. Having a great game against Olympiakos does not equal winning the CL single-handed. Laughing

Yeah. Possibly why big players don't want to play for Liverpool. Why bother if Gerrard will get all the credit.

(obviously not the reason)

Well you do the maths Kimmy.

Without Gerrard that season we wouldn't have got out the group stage.

In that sense, without him we wouldn't have won the CL that season. Just like without Pardew you'd be planning your championship away days already.

Well if you go down I imagine 12 million or so will do it.

If Benteke demands to leave I cant imagine you'll get more than 16 million or so anyway. It's like Suarez - we either took 50 million or had an unhappy player. I don't think Villa are in a position to scoff at 16 million.

if we go down, it'll reduce the price, yes. but finances are generally stronger now, so barring relegation we will most certainly be scoffing at 16m in current market. Lukaku and Bony are the measure for price.

You're such a modern day football fan Lewis. Laughing A memory that goes back 1 month and everything else is copied from sky and the sun. Ok, Super Stevie G led Liverpool and England to glory single-handed for 15 years, lets build a massive gold rotating statue of him in the middle of stonehenge. ok

Tbh the idea that a player wins anything single-handed is embarrassing, this isn't tennis ffs.

We're amazing, 3 seasons in a row we've been in a coma for the 2nd half of the season. I think Carver will still be in the job next season aswell whether we stay up or not.

Some of Gerrards passing has been dog shit in this game.. Like simple 5 yard passes. Needs a goal or he's going out on a stinker.
