Since the 1966 world cup, England have only won 6 knockout games in major tournaments.

1986 wc Paraguay
1990 wc Belgium & Cameroon
1996 euro Spain (on penalties)
2002 wc Denmark
2006 wc Ecuador

Wonder if anyone's ever won a major tournament without winning a game in normal time

Biggrin
I doubt it

Portugal have been abysmal this tournament. I wanted them to go through to meet Belgium because I think that might well be the first game that suits them plus we need more games of big teams facing off.

Yeah fucking hell if this was the old rules they would be out in the groupstage.

Anyway, Belgium-Portugal sounds more attractive as Belgium-Poland so Im up for it. Wales v Belgium is a bit of a non-game, Belgium is way too good.

Same opinion as 2 years ago, Belgium should hire a proper manager.

What a game😊 Wales showed class. Fey you totally under estimated Wales. They have more balls than England and Holland can dream of having. Roll on Wales. Great stuff.

Wales fucking lost to England, this shouldnt have happened with that ridiculous Wilmots in charge. Great fucking achievement though, reminded me of the game Russia-Holland in 2008 for some reason.

Anyone saw that vid of Wales after England got knocked out btw?

Once again you overestimate Belgium. Biggrin

Although they have improved over the WC but that is not saying much given the talent at their disposal

Some of those penalties were hilariously bad, especially Zaza & Schweini.

Zaza was brought on only to do that, I was already curious that Germany never won against Italy considering Italys pen record, but they never had a pen shootout.

They should have left Chiellini on to take a pen instead of that numpty Zaza. That has to be the stupidest penalty ever.
